SkiReg.com Promoter's Frequently Asked Questions
If you have any additional questions, please contact info@SkiReg.com
or call (413)303-9286.
How much does it cost for online registration with SkiReg.com?
FREE! The cost to the promoter is nothing. However, the promoter does have the option to pay a portion or the entire service fee. The idea is that the smaller the service fee, the more people will register online, which will save more time for the promoter. It is completely up to you. [top]

How much is the service charge to enter online?
The service charge is on a sliding scale dependent on the entry fee. The higher the entry fee, the lower the percentage. The table below shows some sample service fees. [top]
| Entry Fee | Service Fee |
| $10 | $2.40 |
| $20 | $2.60 |
| $30 | $2.80 |
| $40 | $3.00 |
| $50 | $3.40 |
| $100 | $4.60 |

Do I need to be able to charge credit cards?
No. We handle all credit card charges for participants registering online. [top]

Are transactions with SkiReg.com secure?
Yes! All credit card transactions with SkiReg.com use industry standard SSL encryption to ensure safe and reliable transmission over the internet. [top]

My event does not have a website, can I still use online registration with SkiReg.com?
Yes! You do not need to have a website for your event. SkiReg.com will list all your registration info online and you can direct your participants to SkiReg.com for online registration on your event flyers.
SkiReg.com can also design and host your event's entire website. Contact a sales rep at Sales@SkiReg.com or (413) 303-9286 for more details. [top]

How do I get my pre-registered racers information?
Pre-registered racer information/start lists can be downloaded as a CSV (Comma Separated Value) file or if you use Microsoft Excel the start list can be opened directly into Excel from the SkiReg.com website. The information that is downloaded is up to you. You can choose which fields will appear, the order they are in, and how they are sorted. It is really quite flexible!
If you use an existing timing software or database, you can customize your download file to match the layout you need. The CSV file is a standard ASCII text file that is recognized by just about any software package. [top]

Can I add the entries I receive by mail to the download file?
Yes! With SkiReg.com you can manually enter the entries you also receive by mail. This way, you can get a COMPLETE start list from SkiReg.com when downloading your data! [top]

How long is my event data available online?
Event information and registered racer information will be available for 1 year after your event. This can be useful if you wish to do a pre-event mailing for your event next year. However, you can download ALL the information from your event at any time during this year and save it on your computer. [top]

How do I get my event graphic on the SkiReg.com home page?
Premier Event Placement is offered on the main home page of the SkiReg.com website. This allows your event and event sponsors more exposure and direct links to your event registration pages. For details and pricing on Premier Event Placement, contact a sales representative at sales@SkiReg.com or (413)303-9286. [top]

Can I place my own notes, graphics, and sponsor links on my registration pages?
Yes. Several lines of custom text notes can be displayed for FREE at the bottom of the event info page. Custom links and graphics can also be placed above and below the event-listing page for your event. For links and graphics details, contact a sales representative at sales@SkiReg.com or (413)303-9286 to get full list of options. [top]

When would I receive a payment for the entries collected by SkiReg.com?
Our standard payment schedule is to issue two entry fee disbursements. The first disbursement is sent on the Monday BEFORE your online registration closes for entry fees received up to that point. The second disbursement is sent the Monday AFTER your event's online registration closes for remaining entries fees received since the initial disbursement. This ensures that you have funds when it is most important to you, immediately before and immediately following your event.
If needed, additional pre-event disbursements can be made for a small processing fee. Contact your SkiReg.com sales rep for more information. [top]

How do I refund entry fees to participants?
SkiReg.com does not issue refunds to participants. The promoter will be funded the entry fee paid and the promoter
is responsible for issuing refunds to their event participants. [top]

I am tempted to go with SkiReg.com online registration, but I am unsure just how it would interface with our own registration system, numbering, etc.
The downloaded information is extremely flexible. You choose the information you want and how it is sorted. The downloaded file is in a CSV (Comma Separated Value) format, which can be imported by just about any timing or data collection system, or the start list can be opened right into Excel. You can also choose to have SkiReg.com generate bib numbers for each event. You can also manually enter mail-in entries so that you have a COMPLETE pre-reg list. [top]

I am really excited about listing my event online with SkiReg.com, how do I begin?
