Classic Style XC Ski Marathon

Located in one of the snowiest regions of the USA, New York's Tug Hill region of upstate NY will again play host to one of the finest Nordic ski events, the Winona Forest Tourathon. Winona State Forest offers outdoor recreation enthusiasts over 50 miles and 10,000 acres of impeccably groomed woodland trails. Since the early 1980's, the Tourathon has brought its cross country ski participants an unparalleled Nordic experience.  We are proud to present to you The 2026 Winona Forest Tourathon!

 The 45th annual Winona Forest Tourathon. 

12.5K, 25K, 50K

The tradition continues. Since the early 80's, Winona Forest has been the site for the Tourathon, a citizen's Classical XC Ski marathon in the Tug Hill region of NY State. Offering 3 distance choices makes this event suitable for all ages and ability levels. 

Maximum entries of 120 participants. Registration closes at 120 registrants.

Venue/Location: CCC Camp, Co Rt 90

Style: Classical

Check in/Race Day Registration - Get your Bib and swag: Opens at 8AM

Start Time: 9:30 AM Mass Start - all distances

Facilities: Warm room for registration/check in, and to enjoy post race foods. Cold Porta-Potty. 

Post Race: Warm hearty foods included in your registration. Vegetarian options will be available. 

Awards: Top M/F 1-3 each distance will receive a Custom 45th anniversary Campfire Mug.

WFRA Nordic events are non-fluorinated events. No fluorinated waxes are permitted. Please help us regulate the amount of PFAS we put into the environment by sticking to paraffin waxes only. This means non-fluorinated wax only. The WFRA volunteers trust the racing community to honor this effort to improve our public health and environmental stewardship.
